Stars in Tuolumne County!....

16 Weeks of Dance Lessons = FREE, sponsored by county businesses New Dance Shoes = Free, also sponsored by county businesses A Night Out to Raise $$$ for anti-drug, suicide prevention, & mentoring programs = Tickets Sponsored but the Audience Favorite Jars = Not Enough! Dancing with Your Daughter = Priceless Tonight was one of those walk-away-feel-good evenings. The whole night, you want everyone to do well, and they did! As soon as the music started, I started bawling like a blubbering proud momma and wife. The other mommas around me understood, and I got some high fives, hugs, and "good job mom" compliments. I feel so grateful to be living in the community we live in. This first T. County Dancing with the Stars left obvious strong impressions with community members. One couple wants to incorporate this into the schools, for the kids to dance, putting dance back in the schools. Another couple was just grateful to be a part of the program, their son had been killed in a drunk driving accident. Another couple started dancing together only 3 weeks ago because her partner broke his foot, the brother in law that speaks no English stepped in. 20 partners in total. Mermaid was the only daughter dancing with her dad. Everyone complimented us on having such a great teenager. She wore a shrug to cover her shoulders that I made last night(the material was impossible), a green dress we found at Ross', and one of Dana's bracelets Mr. D wore his swim trunks, a rash guard, his dance shoes, and yes, that is a snorkel! LOL

So GREAT!! These two did a fantastic job!! You should be proud of your daughter and husband!

And that shrug turned out great, Jenne! My dd saw it and immediately said how pretty she thought it was, then I told her you made it and showed her the pattern!! :)

What a great husband to go hiking with the kids one day and turn around and do this dancing competition the next night!!

Wahoo! They both did a great job. Wish we could have been there to watch! I am so impressed at how graceful Ariel was with those heels on!
